The Telegram company announced a new stage of cooperation with law enforcement agencies of various countries in the field of cybercrime investigations. According to a report in French newspaper Le Figaro, the platform has begun responding to requests from governments, providing information that could help identify criminals.
According to the publication, other countries began to submit requests to Telegram after it became known about Telegram's cooperation with French authorities.
For example, one of the countries of the European Union (which is not specified) received information about a group in Telegram, with the help of which about a hundred murders were ordered.
Some cases from non-Eurojust countries, including South Korea, are in the process of being registered in the French justice system. There, they are studying measures to combat channels and chats in Telegram, where pornographic deepfakes are "widespread".
