Tragedy at the demonstration of military equipment in the Czech Republic

In the Czech village near the border with Austria, a tragedy occurred during a demonstration of historical military equipment. As a result of the accident on the frozen bridge, two people were killed when the SD.Kfz armored personnel carrier. 251, which was part of the World War II exhibition, lost its adhesion and fell into a ditch.

The incident occurred on a closed bridge, when a armored personnel carrier, who was moving at high speed, was unable to hold the adhesion to the surface. As a result, the machine, having lost control, fell into the stream. From the impact, two vehicle passengers were injured. The dead were men in 1995 and 1974, and the other eight people who were in an armored personnel carrier were only slight injuries. Following the incident, local criminalists began investigating an event qualified as a casualty. The South President Milan Bachura Prescriber noted that no charge has been charged at the moment. The organizer of the event, during which the accident occurred, was the Society of Military History of Gornya Dvorysht. The head of the Society Michal Landatsky, expressing his deep sympathy, said that he is now in emotionally serious condition and is not ready for comments, because his friends were killed in the tragedy.

SD.KFZ armored personnel carrier. 251, which became part of the tragedy, is the historical technique of Nazi Germany during World War II. This semi -loose machine was intended for transportation of infantry, ammunition and equipment, had a high level of patency due to tracked stroke, as well as armor that protected against small arms and fragments. The machine weighed about 9 tons, accommodated up to 12 people and was equipped with a 100 hp Maybach HL42 engine. The maximum speed of the armored personnel carrier was 55 km/h.
