Kazakhstan collided with a tragedy at a mining mine, where a fire, probably caused by an explosion of gas, claimed the lives of 16 miners.
This tragedy happened at the Kostenko mine in the Karagandinsk region on October 28. At the time of the crash, there were 252 people in the mine, of which 205 miners were rescued on the surface. Akim of the region, Ermaganbeth Bilepaev, reported that 18 people were hospitalized, and 40 rescuers and 10 units of specialized equipment were working at the scene. An operational headquarters was also created to coordinate actions to eliminate the consequences of the accident.
