January 31 is the last day for submission of declarations by civil servants for 2021 and 2022, in particular, by people's deputies.
For 2022, people's deputies declared 134 new vehicles, in addition to the 304 they had. Of them, 109 deputies bought at least one new car. Despite this, a quarter of people's elected representatives do not have cars or have not submitted declarations.
"About the growth in 2022-2023 of the sales volumes of Mercedes, BMW and Lexus in Ukraine, which exceeded even the pre-war year 2021. The current study showed that people's deputies are a good segment of society: among their priority brands are Mercedes (19 cars) and Lexus (11 cars)," the message reads.
As for real estate, people's deputies have 260 new properties in addition to almost a thousand acquired before the Great War (apartments, houses and land plots). The third deputy made a living from real estate.
"Based on the calculation of one member of the faction, the largest share of new assets - cars and real estate - is held by people's deputies from the business group "Trust" and the ruling party "Servant of the People", - the message states.
It is worth noting that most of the property declared by deputies is under lease or "other right of use".
"The change in the way of owning real estate can be explained by the factor of the great war : many Ukrainians do not risk investing in "bricks". For cars, it looks strange. Most likely, people's elected representatives do not want to demonstrate to society the fact of buying a car during the war," the message says.
