A meeting between President Zelenskyi and NATO Secretary General took place in Belgium

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels. The key topics of negotiations were the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense systems and ensuring reliable peace guarantees.

"It was an important and very meaningful meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. The main topics of our negotiations - the strengthening of air defense for Ukraine and the reliability of the peace we are approaching together," the Head of State said.

The President expressed gratitude to the Alliance and his partners for their active support of Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized that the reinforcement of the air shield is one of the key security elements in the conditions of continuing aggression.

"The Alliance will do everything to make Ukraine as strong as possible if we did not move to more active diplomacy," the President emphasized.

Zelensky's meeting with Mark Rutte took place against the background of a European Council meeting in Brussels. The event was attended by leading European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Soltz, UK Prime Minister Kir Starmer and Polish President Donald Tusk. This event was another platform to discuss regional security and strengthen Euro -Atlantic cooperation.
