In Germany, Ryanair aircraft is emergency sat down because of turbulence

On the evening of June 4, the Ryanair airline, which operated from Berlin to Milan, was forced to carry out emergency landing at the Memmingen Airport, Bavaria Land, due to a strong turbulence caused by thunderstorms. The incident reports the German edition of Bild, with reference to eyewitness testimony and rescue services.

During the flight, the aircraft got into a powerful turbulence, causing nine passengers to be injured in varying degrees. According to eyewitnesses, some people were literally thrown into the ceiling, and the elements of the inner cladding of the aircraft were damaged. One of the factors that could contribute to the severity of injuries was that passengers were not announced to remain fastened.

Among the victims are a woman with a traumatic brain injury, her two-year-old child with slaughter and a 59-year-old passenger who complained of back pain. All three were hospitalized, six more at the scene and provided the necessary assistance.

After a safe landing, the captain of the aircraft received from the local authorities a refusal for further flight. Ryanair promptly organized a bus transfer for passengers to Milan.

The airline apologized to passengers and noted that the crew operated in accordance with the instructions, inviting medical assistance to the landing airport in advance.

The Kachelmannwetter meteorological service confirmed the presence of a strong thunderstorm between Ulm and Memmingen cities at the time when flight took place.

The circumstances of the incident are currently being studied by Germany's aviation authorities.
