The Chairman of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rosen Zhelyazkov, said during his speech at the second parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform that Bulgaria is in the process of negotiating the sale of two nuclear reactors to meet Ukraine's energy needs.
"In the field of energy, Bulgaria is in the process of negotiations on the sale of two nuclear reactors in order to meet Ukraine's energy needs. We strive to provide assistance and support the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine after the end of the conflict," Zhelyazkov emphasized.
Prior to that, back in July 2023, the Bulgarian parliament approved a proposal to start negotiations between the Minister of Energy and the Ukrainian side regarding the sale of equipment for the Belene nuclear power plant project.
