In South Korea, the newly elected President Lee Zhage Mon has officially launched the duties of the Head of State. During the ceremony in the National Assembly, he made a program speech in which he called for national unity and promised to make efforts to revive the economy. About it reports the South Korean broadcaster KBS.

Lee Zhage Mon stated that he would be president for all citizens, regardless of their political preferences. "No matter who you supported in the elections, I will serve the president for all to help every citizen of the country," he stressed.

The new South Korea leader has promised to create a government that supports citizens and does not manage them from above. According to Lee, his administration will focus on supporting technological development, in particular in the field of artificial intelligence and semiconductors - key sectors for the economic future of the country.

In the international arena, Lee Jae Mon has confirmed the intention to strengthen the tripartite cooperation between the Republic of Korea, the United States and Japan based on the Strong South Korean-American Alliance. At the same time, he stressed that foreign policy will be based on the principles of practicality and national interests.

The President also voiced a clear position on North Korea. He emphasized the importance of restraining threats, but left open opportunities for dialogue with Pyongyang to achieve a long -term peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Due to the fact that the elections took place ahead of time, Lee Zhage Mon acquired his authority immediately after the results of the Central Election Commission, without a transition period. From now on, it has full executive power, including the command of the country's armed forces.

The official inauguration of the new President is scheduled for July 17 - on the day of South Korea Constitution.
