In Slovakia, two Ukrainians were detained on suspicion of landmines

Two citizens of Ukraine were detained in Slovakia as part of an investigation into a wave of mines and threats to critical infrastructure of the country. This was reported by the head of the Slovak information service Pavel Gaspar after a meeting of the Security Council, which discussed the issues of hybrid attacks.

According to official data, Ukrainians were detained on November 26 in the east of Slovakia. One of the detainees was discovered in the city of Mikhalove, and searches were also conducted in the village of Vinne, nearby.

Specific details about the role of suspects in the wave of threats about the displacement are not disclosed, referring to the secret of the investigation.

Slovakia has recently recorded a series of threats about the replacement of schools, public buildings and critical infrastructure. This forced the authorities to strengthen security measures and start a large -scale investigation.

"Slovakia is the only country that has identified a potential performer in the event of threats of mine," Gaspar said.

The situation occurs against the background of growing hybrid threats in the region. The Slovak Government is actively working on strengthening security in response to attacks that destabilize critical infrastructure.

Further details of the case and official statements are expected after investigative actions.
