In the USA, it is proposed to open 15 long-distance train routes

The Federal Railway Administration of the United States (FRA) considers proposals for 15 trains of long -distance trains of the national operator AMTRAK during a series of regional meetings. These proposals include new routes, previously closed routes and those served on an irregular basis.

These initiatives were given an advantage within the Federal Investment Investment Law and Jobs. Research on the prospects for the development of passenger long -distance communication and the implementation of relevant investment projects took place within the framework of this Law and are implemented by the Federal Railway Administration.

According to the Rail Passengers Association (RPA), the introduction of 15 new routes will double the current length of a long -distance train route.

Among the proposed routes for further research and evaluation are noted:

  1. Chicago - Miami through Indianapolis, Luisville, Neshville, Chattanug, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tamp;
  2. Dallas/Fort-Urta-Miami through Marshall, Baton-Sir, New Orleans, Pensacol, Tallahas and Jacksonville;
  3. Denver-Houston through Trinidad, Amaraillo and Dallas/Fort-Wort;
  4. Los Angeles-Denver through Barstou, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Shayenn;
  5. Phoenix-Minneapolis/Saint-Pool through the Flagstaff, Albukerke, Amaraillo, Newton, Kansas City, Omah and Su-Falls;
  6. Dallas/Fort-Wort-New York through Oklahomi City, Taels, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Columbus and Pittsburgh;
  7. Houston is New York through New Orleans, Mobil, Montgomery, Atlanta, Chattanuga, Roanoan, Lynchburg, Lorton, Washington and Philadelphia.

Among the proposed routes are: Seattle-Denver, San Antonio-Minneapolis / Saint-Pole, San Francisco-Dallas / Fort-Wort, Detroit-New Orleans, Denver-Minneapolis / Saint-Pol, Seattl-Chicago, Dallas-Fortlas.
