Ukraine is among the leaders of the Biathlon World Cup

A short individual race took place in the Finnish Kontiocht in the first stage of the Biathlon World Cup. Ukrainian biathlete Vitaliy Mandzin showed a brilliant result, finishing the fourth. He became the only representative of Ukraine who was able to pass perfectly with all four fire bonds, giving way to only the three Norwegian biathletes.

The winner of the race was Norwegian Andre Stremsheim. The second and third places on the pedestal also remained in Norway - they were won by Johannes Beau and the hole Legreid, respectively.

Two more Ukrainian athletes were among the best 15. Dmitry Podruchny, having admitted one miss, closed the top ten, and Anton Dudchenko, also with one unfair target, finished in the 14th position. The worst result among Ukrainians was shown by Artem Tishchenko, who completed the 49th race.

Mandzin's speech was the best result of the Ukrainian team in this competition. Its fourth place demonstrates a high level of training and potential for the struggle for the podium in the following races.
