On Wednesday, April 23, the Government Delegation of Ukraine, led by Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, arrived in the United States of America to participate in the Spring Meetings 2025 Spring Meetings (Spring Meetings 2025). The head of the Ukrainian government reported this in his Telegram channel.
“Together with the government team we start working in Washington at the Spring Meetings 2025 of the World Bank and the IMF. Meetings with representatives of financial and business circles of the US and the EU, ”said Shmigal.
He stressed that thanks to the coordinated work of the government with international partners, Ukraine has completely closed its financial needs for 2025. Current meetings will be about providing funding for next year - 2026.
Particular attention will be paid to the renewal of Ukraine, including attracting foreign investments, as well as the mechanisms of confiscation and use of frozen Russian assets in favor of the Ukrainian state.
The delegation is expected to hold a number of important meetings with representatives of the IMF, the World Bank, the Ministry of Finance of the United States, as well as business circles that show interest in the post -war economic development of Ukraine.
The IMF and World Bank Spring Meeting is traditionally one of the main platforms for global economic and financial discussions, and participation in them allows participating countries to strengthen cooperation and strengthen support from the international community.
