The Ministry of Science has announced its plans to create special courses for hearing and vision students, which will be introduced by 2024. This step is included in the framework of the implementation of the National Inclusive Learning Strategy by 2030, which aims to ensure equal conditions of access to education for all.
The project of the strategy has already been discussed and approved and must be signed by the government at the end of the current month, Oksen Lisovy said. Other initiatives of the Ministry of Education for the next year include approving a plan for the implementation of the strategy, the expansion of functions and interaction of inclusive resource centers, the restoration of damaged centers, the increase in the number of educational centers "Superhero School" and the work on the bill "On Adult Education".
The plans also provide an increase in the number of students in the International Ukrainian School, cooperation with the International Ukrainian School and the implementation of the Power of Touch. In addition, it is planned to start training adults who have lost their eyesight as part of the point of touch.
