Every year December 6, Ukraine celebrates the Armed Forces of Ukraine, established by the Verkhovna Rada resolution of 1993. The beginning of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was determined by a resolution of August 24, 1991, when the Verkhovna Rada decided to subordinate all military formations in the territory of Ukraine to the Verkhovna Rada, to create the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and to begin the creation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The concept of defense and construction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was approved by the Verkhovna Rada on October 11, 1991, defining three types of armed forces: land troops (land defense troops), military air forces and air defense forces (air defense troops), naval forces.
The Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the day of the Law of Ukraine “On the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in 1991. On the occasion of this holiday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the defenders and expressed his wishes to win.
