The supply of American weapons to Ukraine was not long suspended for long, but later resumed. It happened against the backdrop of the Donald Trump administration of policy on Kiev, Reuters with a reference to four sources.
According to the agency, a short "pause" took place last weekend. The reason was the change in the white house: first there was a considering the possibility of complete termination of military assistance, but later abandoned the idea.
One source of Reuters noted that there are differences within the Trump administration as to how much the US should continue supplying weapons to Ukraine. Some officials are in favor of reducing assistance, while others insist on its continuation.
At the same time, the Trump administration has not yet announced new military assistance packages for Ukraine. Supplies that have been approved under Joe Biden's presidency will continue for the next weeks and months due to delays.
It is unknown whether the White House officially recognizes the suspension and restoration of supply.
