US Vice president, Jay Di, has announced that he would join the visit of his wife Ushi Vesa to Greenland, who is scheduled for March 28. He reported this in his video, published on the platform X.
Vance explained his decision by the fact that there was a significant hype around this visit, and also joked that his wife did not want his wife to "entertained herself."
However, the Vice President's trip will be not only personal but also official. He intends to visit one of the US military bases in Greenland to assess the situation with security in the region.
"Many other countries threatened Greenland, threatened to use its territory and waterways to threaten the United States, Canada and, of course, the people of Greenland. Therefore, we are going to check how things are there," Vance said.
Greenland is a strategically important region because its location between North America and Europe makes it a key area to control military and economic activity in the Arctic.
