Armenian Prime Minister Nicol Pashinyan has recently expressed serious charges against the organization of the Collective Security Agreement (ODCB), accusing it of creating threats to the country's sovereignty. It happened after an attempt was found in Armenia, the preparation of which was carried out in Russia.
The Armenian Investigative Committee said several citizens of the republic and residents of Nagorny Karabakh were recruited to participate in the coup. They were promised a monthly payment of 220 thousand rubles (about $ 2400) for participation in plans to destabilize the situation in the country. It is noted that the recruited were sent to Russia under the guise of military assembly, where they were trained in the fighting in closed premises.
However, some of the recruited persons refused to participate in the coup and returned to Armenia. The rest were revealed by the security forces before they were able to implement their plans.
Shortly after exposing the coup attempt, Prime Minister Nicol Pashinyan announced the freezing of Armenia's participation in the CDU. He noted that the organization not only does not fulfill its security obligations to Armenia, but also poses threats to the existence, sovereignty and statehood of the country. This exacerbated the diplomatic relations between Armenia and other members of the CCI, including Russia.
