President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during his speech at the Dialogue - Shangri LA conference in Singapore made an important statement about Ukraine's international policy. He reported that Ukraine recognizes Palestine as a state, along with Israel, and is ready to promote a peaceful settlement of the conflict between these countries.
Zelensky also explained his statements in support of Israel, which he made in the fall of 2023.
“Ukraine said that if terrorists from Hamas, it was on the first day of attack on the civilian population of Israel, attack the civilian population, and Israel has the right to defend themselves. And after that, when Israel was on the territory of Gaza and there was a humanitarian crisis, Ukraine said: the first is ready to assist humanitarian gas, the second is to respect international law, ”Zelensky said.
"So do not confuse two periods and do not mix them into one," the President added.
Apparently, the position of Zelensky follows the policy of the event, which has shifted from the unconditional support of Israel to condemning his actions in gas and the requirements to stop a military operation there. Some of the European countries have declared the recognition of Palestine's statehood and accuses Israel of the Palestinian genocide.
