Ukrainian pensioners who have decided to go abroad for a permanent residence (PMP) are entitled to a special payment. Pursuant to Article 51 of the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”, it is possible to obtain a pension for six months in advance.
For payment, you must contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) service center with a statement. You can submit it immediately before leaving. The following documents must be added to the application: a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad with a corresponding mark on the departure of the PMP, or a document confirming the status of a foreigner or stateless person. Certificate of removal from registration of residence in Ukraine. This allows citizens to provide funds for the first months after moving.
Paying a pension is not automatic in advance, so anyone who plans to leave for a PMP must contact the PFU authorities in advance to register all the necessary documents.
In addition to pension payments, Ukraine has an automatic recalculation of subsidies for the heating season. For those who remain in the country, the application for a subsidy can be filed online, mail or personally in service centers.
