Zelensky's statement regarding Ukraine's accession to NATO

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi made an important statement regarding the invitation of Ukraine to NATO, stressing that this process should apply to the entire territory of the country within the internationally recognized borders. He said this in an interview for CBN.

The head of state emphasized that NATO can become the guarantor of Ukraine's security, and receiving an invitation to the Alliance is the first step on this path.

The president also emphasized that Kyiv understands the complexity of the situation: the US and other partners cannot integrate Ukraine into NATO until the end of the war, but the issue of the invitation is on the agenda.

"Ukraine understands and does not want to involve the military of other countries in this war. It is not true that Ukraine wants to involve NATO. That's why we wanted an invitation. And we know that during the war we will not be accepted into NATO. But if we really want to end the war, we must give NATO to Ukraine," Zelensky emphasized.
