President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine will return all the territory occupied by Russia sooner or later, including Crimea. In an interview with the Japanese edition of Kyodo News , he stressed that the de -occupation of Crimea is impossible for the lack of resources. Instead, a diplomatic path should be a priority that reduces the number of victims and promotes sustainable peace.
According to Zelensky, Crimea is key not only for Ukraine but also for international security, because control over the peninsula determines the situation in the Black Sea.
The President stressed that Ukraine should look for a decision for a just end of the war. This includes the creation of security guarantees that will exclude the possibility of new aggressive actions of Russia.
Zelensky once again stressed that Putin should realize the inevitability of Ukraine's return to Ukraine. At the same time, the end of the war is possible only if Ukraine will strengthen its positions, so that any future negotiations are under its terms.
