The Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot lose aviation specialists — important statements of Chief Commissar Syrskyi

Ukrainian armed forces, despite the constant need for replenishment of personnel, are doing everything possible to preserve highly qualified specialists in their ranks. This was stated by the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces General Alexander Sirsky in an interview with journalist Andriy Tsaplienko. He emphasized the importance of preserving experts engaged in the service of air forces, and stated that these servicemen should not be transferred to the infantry.

Syrsky noted that professionals working on technology are indispensable. "These are experts spent with experience and who are not actually replaced," he emphasized. According to him, such a category of servicemen cannot be sent to the front, because their experience and qualification are critical for the effective functioning of aviation. Despite the fact that mobilization does not cover the needs of the Armed Forces in replenishment of personnel, Sirsky stated that there is a clear understanding of how to solve these issues. Thus, in order to ensure the replenishment of mechanized crews, the military command is forced to involve specialists from other units, including providing and logistics, but this should happen "within reasonable limits".

The transfer of experts from the Air Force into infantry has repeatedly become a topic of discussion among the military. On January 14, Ukrainian aviation experts have expressed concern about this practice, noting that this situation can significantly affect aviation combat capability. In their view, it can not only complicate combat missions, but also threaten the destruction of the foundations of aviation equipment. However, according to reports, on January 16, MP Ruslan Gorbenko (Servant of the People) said that the transfer would not apply to aircraft service experts, but will be focused on military personnel who work with anti-aircraft installations and make mobile groups. He reported that this would touch about 2,000 people.

Currently, on January 17, information appeared from the People's Deputy Alexei Goncharenko that the transfer of servicemen to other units was suspended in the Air Force of the Armed Forces. This decision is intended to maintain aviation potential and avoid losses in highly qualified staff.
