According to the latest reports, the United States has granted Ukraine's permission to strike the territory of Russia at a distance of 100 kilometers from the border. This is a significant change in US policy, which aims to support Ukraine's defensive efforts in the context of armed conflict with Russia.
"Changes in US policy have allowed Ukraine to reduce the number of Russian attacks, but still do not allow strokes on key aerodromes. These airfields are used by Russians to accommodate aircraft that have released airbags on Ukraine," the newspaper writes.
At the same time, US officials refused to clarify the restrictions, but stated that the Ukrainian side's statement about less than 100 km is false.
Pentagon representative Major Charlie Dietz said the United States allowed Ukraine to strike American weapons in the areas where Russian troops arrive.
"It is not about geography or some radius, but that Ukraine can strike in response to the forces that firing it from the territory of Russia."
The material states that Ukraine's inability to restrain the attacks of Russian planning bombs is a major disadvantage of effective US policy changes.
