The IMF warned the United States that their huge budget deficit ignites inflation and is "significant risks" to the world economy.
This is stated in a report published by the Fund.
The US budget deficit is expected to be 7.1% next year - three times higher than in other developed economies.
A similar picture in China is 7.6%, which is twice as high as other developing markets.
The US and China have been one of the four countries that, according to the Fund, "require political measures to eliminate fundamental imbalance between expenditures and income."
Unrestrained US and China costs can "have a deep impact on the world economy and create significant risks for basic budget forecasts in other economies."
