French filmmaker Gaspar Noe, who has gained popularity thanks to scandalous films like "Irreversibility" and "Love", is currently in Moscow. The famous director visited the capital of Russia at the invitation of a local magazine, visited several nightclubs, took a photo on Red Square and met with local fans.
Russian media rejoice in the visit of the world star, considering this confirmation of the cultural openness of the country. Noe photos quickly flew through propaganda resources that emphasize the indifferent attitude of foreign stars to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
It should be noted that Gaspar Noe is known for his non -standard creativity and provocative scenes in his films. Despite the fact that his work often causes controversy, in particular because of frank scenes of sex and violence, his work has their fans. His last movie, Virro "in 2021, became his last film robot before a pause in his career.
The response to Noe's visit to Moscow in Ukraine was ambiguous. Some Ukrainians have seen his visit as a logical step for a person who is famous for his experimental and often provocative creativity. Others expressed their indignation and disappointment, noting that such behavior of the director contradicts his reputation and attitude towards important moral issues.
ARTHOUSE TRAFFIC, which represents Ukrainian cinema, has already announced that Noe films, such as "Love" and "Ecstasy", will no longer be presented in the Ukrainian market. The United 24 platform also expressed his dissatisfaction with the director's visit to Russia.
Interestingly, in 2015, Noe had already visited Kiev, where he represented his picture "Love". At the same time, his film was forbidden to show in Russia and Belarus.
