General Moskalik was responsible for monitoring the war in Ukraine

Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, recently liquidated during the war in Ukraine, played a key role in the system of military monitoring of the Armed Forces of Russia. During his lifetime, he coordinated the work of the combat management group, which was responsible for continuous monitoring of the situation at the front and preparing daily reports for the Kremlin's senior management.

According to BBC News, Moskalik regularly prepared analytical reports on the course of hostilities for the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and personally for President Vladimir Putin. Thanks to his work, the military command received prompt information about events on the battlefield in Ukraine.

The obituary dedicated to the 59-year-old general, published by the Russian media, was signed by high-ranking officials, including the newly appointed defense minister Andriy Belousov and the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov.

The death of a Muscovite is one of the loudest casualties among Russia's Higher Military Command. Its elimination, according to analysts, can have a significant impact on the coordination of the operational command in the war zone.
