KMDA refutes rumors about an explosion at the thermal power station in Kyiv on June 22

The news about the explosion at the thermal power plant in Kyiv on June 22 began to be denied by the capital's authorities.

Referring to the Kyiv City State Administration in Telegram, the information about the explosion at the energy facility is unreliable.

KMDA emphasizes that all thermal power plants of Kyiv are operating in normal mode, including preparation for the heating season. All technological and repair processes are carried out according to the plan.

The city authorities also remind about the ban on posting photos and videos of infrastructure objects on the network.

"Information about such distribution will be forwarded to the Security Service of Ukraine. The media are urged to check the authenticity of information before spreading dubious messages to a mass audience, as this can create a serious risk for the work of stations and their staff," the KMDA said.

We will also remind you that on the night of June 22, the Russian occupiers fired at two energy facilities in the Zaporizhia and Lviv regions. As a result of serious damage to energy facilities due to Russia's attacks, stabilization shutdowns of electricity supply have already been introduced in Ukraine.
