The People's Republic of China has positively appreciated US President Donald Trump's intentions to finish the war in Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the China MAO Nin commented the statement of the US President made at the World Economic Forum in Davos, during a briefing on January 24.
Mao Nin stressed that China supports dialogue as the only viable way to resolve the conflict.
Answering the journalists whether Donald Trump was discussing the war in Ukraine with the China's leader Xi Jinping, Mao Nin confirmed China's willingness to remain a mediator and promote the peace process.
Earlier, Donald Trump said he had a "very good" telephone conversation with Xi Jinping. According to him, he, along with the Chinese leader, seeks to do "everything is possible to make the world more peaceful and safe."
