In the library of the County Center, located in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA, there is an extraordinary employee - a cat named Horatio. This public institution with three departments is distinguished by its animal assistant. Every week, Horatio gains popularity on Instagram under the hashtag #caturday, presenting useful photos.
In order to attract attention and increase interest in reading and art in general, Lisa Shaffer, social worker and owner of Horatio, dresses her cat in various images of movie heroes, historical figures and pop culture characters, whether real or imagined.
“Horatio lives with me, but his cardboard figure is at our main branch in Bellefonte. He admires and obeys, is always interested when I sew suits for him," says Shaffer.
“He enjoys the 'photoshoots' and shows enough patience when I dress him up and take pictures. We've gone from hats and ties to shirts, wigs and even elaborate costumes, which Horatio effortlessly pulls off," she adds.
