The law enforcement officers learned about the event after a woman contacted her, who noticed damaged elements at the memorial site — torn flags and torn photos. The police quickly established the identity of the violator. He turned out to be a 36-year-old resident of the Sumy region. At the time of the arrest, the man was in an agitated state. After the initial examination by doctors, he was hospitalized in a specialized medical facility. Currently, the law enforcement officers are continuing the investigation and resolving issues regarding the legal qualification of the incident. The motives of the man's actions have not yet been disclosed.
