The newly appointed ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine, Ma Shenkun, has officially started his diplomatic mission. On November 21, he presented copies of credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebynos.
Yevhen Perebiynis congratulated Ma Shenkun on the start of his work in Ukraine and emphasized the positive dynamics of the political dialogue between the countries in 2023.
During the meeting, the parties discussed:
- using the potential of trade and economic cooperation,
- prospects for interaction in international organizations,
- further steps to deepen the relationship.
This is the first step towards strengthening Ukrainian-Chinese ties after the appointment of a new ambassador, who is likely to focus on expanding cooperation in strategic areas.
