Orban and Xi Jinping concluded a "comprehensive strategic partnership"

Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban and China Si Jinping Head held negotiations in Budapest. During the meeting, which took place on Thursday, May 9, both politicians discussed a "comprehensive strategic partnership" between the countries, Hungarian state television reported at a reference to a joint statement.

Numerous intergovernmental agreements were signed during a visit to the Chinese delegation to Hungary. However, specific details were not disclosed.

Viktor Orban noted that Hungary has always been an ally of China, and now Chinese companies are creating a large number of jobs in the country. He also expressed support for further development of relations between countries.

Strategic partnership details remain unclear. However, Orban noted that Hungary and China intend to expand cooperation, in particular in the nuclear industry.

This is Si Jinping's last stop as part of a trip to Europe. He also visited France and Serbia, where he supported the protection of the country's territorial integrity.
