The North Koreans retreat or prepare for a new offensive?

North Korea's military, who fought on the side of Russia in the Kursk region, temporarily retreated from the front positions, probably due to large losses and mistakes made during clashes with the Ukrainian military. The commander of the Ukrainian forces with the call sign "Pulse", who gave an exclusive interview for Sky News.

According to him, during the fighting, the North Korean soldiers faced great difficulty, in particular due to insufficient preparedness for the threats of artillery and drones. This caused serious losses among the DPRK fighters. The tactics of the North Koreans were surprised by the Ukrainian military: the soldiers attacked "as during the Second World War", on foot in small groups of 20-40 people. Due to the availability of various equipment, including drones and artillery, the Ukrainian military was able to strike these groups, which led to significant losses among the North Korean troops. The Pulse commander noted that the North Koreans have retreated, and this may be connected with the awareness of their mistakes and to what they expect reinforcement. "I think they will come back soon," he said. The pulse also pointed out that the North Korean soldiers, although suffered by great losses, continue to go forward, because their moral spirit is supported by ideological propaganda. However, unlike the Russians, their completion looks much better, albeit without heavy armored vehicles.

Particular attention was paid to the fact that the North Koreans often do not be captured and are ready to go to extremes, even undermining themselves with grenades, so as not to get into the hands of the Ukrainian military. This can be the result of both their personal beliefs and the orders of their commanders.

The information that the DPRK is preparing new units to send to the front has already become known. These soldiers are expected to arrive in the Kursk region in the coming weeks, which may mean a continuation of hostilities in the region.
