President warned about the risks of reducing assistance to Ukraine through the Middle East

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that a new wave of conflict between Iran and Israel complicates the situation for Ukraine, in particular in energy and security dimensions. He reported this during a briefing, RBC-Ukraine reports.

The head of state noted that the Israeli blows on Iranian facilities had already had consequences - oil prices have increased. This, according to Zelensky, is beneficial to Russia, which can earn additional profits from energy exports and direct them to the war against Ukraine.

He stressed that this factor does not help Ukraine. Therefore, the Ukrainian side will insist in a dialogue with the US administration on the introduction of price restrictions and additional sanctions against the Russian energy sector.

Zelensky announced new contacts with the United States, including Donald Trump, to discuss oil restrictions and further support Ukraine.

Separately, the President drew attention to the possible consequences of Israeli strikes on Iranian defense enterprises. According to him, if the factories produced by Shahd and missiles are really damaged, it can reduce the ability of Iran to supply Russia's weapons.

He also noted that the conflict in the Middle East can affect the volume of Western aid to Ukraine. Zelensky recalled that earlier this situation has already led to a slowdown in support from the United States.
