Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on recent statements to the United States on the possible permission of Ukraine to strike the territory of the Russian Federation with the help of Western long -range missiles. According to Putin, the Kremlin will perceive it as a direct involvement of Western countries in the war against Russia.
He explained this by the fact that, according to him, the Armed Forces can not independently strike Western high -precision weapons, flight tasks for it "can only make NATO military, and the missiles themselves are made according to NATO satellite systems."
“And so it is not about allowing the Ukrainian regime to strike in Russia with these weapons or not to allow. It is a decision that NATO countries are directly involved in a military conflict. If this decision is made, it will mean nothing but the direct involvement of NATO countries, the United States, European countries in the war in Ukraine. And this, of course, significantly changes the very essence, the very nature of the conflict. This will mean that NATO countries, the USA, European countries are fighting with Russia. And if so, then, referring to the change in the very essence of this conflict, we will make the appropriate decision in view of the threats we will create, ”Putin said.
