According to Bloomberg, allies of Ukraine are faced with serious financial challenges that may threaten further supply of military and humanitarian assistance in 2025. This situation is caused by increasing costs, as well as political and economic difficulties in donor countries.
The material states that some allies are trying to get funding, while others do not want to increase funding. Much of Ukraine's military support in 2025 is associated with a G7 loan by $ 50 billion at the expense of frozen Russian assets.
However, the allies still discuss the details of the agreement, so the final amount of the loan may be less - € 35 billion.
The publication writes that the Allies will probably have to go beyond this funding, but the difficulty is that Western countries face fiscal restrictions and can reduce assistance to Ukraine.
