In Kyiv, the Church of St. Nicholas was damaged as a result of the morning attack of the Russian Federation

In Kyiv, the Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas, one of the prominent architectural symbols of the capital, was damaged as a result of a morning combined strike by Russian troops. The incident took place in the Holosiivskyi district, when fragments of downed rockets fell on Velyka Vasylkivska Street, damaging both the church and the business center located nearby.

In the Church of St. Nicholas, the windows were broken and the stained-glass windows were damaged, and the wall of the building was cut by debris. This historic building, which is an important cultural and religious site, has suffered significant damage that requires immediate restoration.

Opposite the church, in the business center, even greater destruction was recorded: windows were broken, the facade was mutilated and the roof was significantly damaged. The infrastructure of the district was also damaged.

According to the city administration, Russian troops used ballistic missiles during the attack. The tragedy resulted in the death of at least one person, and more than ten people were injured in varying degrees of severity.
