In Ukraine, there are changes in legislation concerning traffic and parking. A new bill is currently being discussed, which provides for the creation of special parking spaces for vehicles that carry children up to three years of age, as well as for pregnant women. The bill aims to make parking more convenient for these categories of citizens.
According to the new provisions, there should be at least 5% of places specially designated for cars with young children and pregnant women on the parking areas. In addition, there is a clear designation of these places with appropriate road signs, which will make it easier to navigate drivers and reduce cases of misuse of such places. Changes also cover parking spaces for other vulnerable categories of citizens, in particular for the elderly and veterans, which aims to improve parking conditions and make them more accessible to these population groups.
If the draft law is approved by the Verkhovna Rada and signed by the President, the time at the beginning of his validity will begin from the moment of signing. The Cabinet of Ministers will be provided for three months for the development and approval of the necessary normative legal acts for the implementation of innovations.
