Ukraine reacted to Orban's statements

Ukraine officially responded to the statements of Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who proposed the "Christmas Truce" and "Large-scale exchange of prisoners". Advisor to the President of Ukraine Dmitry Lytvyn stressed that Hungary did not agree with Kiev and did not report contacts with Moscow.

Lytvyn, commenting on the situation, stated that Ukraine did not authorize Hungary for any negotiations. Ukraine is working daily to liberate its prisoners. "For two weeks, appropriate contacts have been going on for significant exchange by the end of the year," he said. The Ukrainian side is set to achieve just peace with international partners, including the US, the European Union and other countries of the world.

"We do not need PR actions, but just peace, reliable security guarantees and coordination with partners," Dmitry Lytvyn summarized.

Ukraine once again emphasized the importance of the unity of the international community in counteracting Russian aggression, noting that populist statements such as Hungarian only harm a real diplomatic effort.
