Israel is imposing restrictions on entry for citizens with visa -free countries, including Ukraine. Ambassador of Ukraine Yevgeny Korniychuk stated that Kiev will be forced to response, but remains open to dialogue with Israel on this issue.
This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel.
Dipanist noted that since July 1, citizens of visa-free countries, including Ukraine, should apply for ETA-IL permission for up to 90 days.
The Embassy reminded that Ukraine and Israel have maintained close relations since the implementation of visa -free policy in 2010.
"However, the recent actions of Israel, including restrictions on entry for Ukrainian refugees and refusal to enter many Ukrainians, have violated these relations. The latter requirement actually terminates the visa -free regime. In response, Ukraine introduces similar requirements of preliminary approval for Israeli citizens, including pilgrims. - said Korniychuk.
According to him, the format of electronic visas is considered in Kiev. This mutual action will affect thousands of religious pilgrims who visit Ukraine annually.
At the same time, the Ambassador emphasized that Ukraine is still open to dialogue with Israel to discuss and "negotiates these changes in the policy of trips for the benefit of both countries."
