The president of WBC Ukraine, Mykola Kovalchuk, shared his vision for changes in the famous Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko, who holds the IBF and IBO titles. According to Kovalchuk, Lomachenko has not only changed as a person, becoming more modest, but also provides significant support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is known that he donates millions to the army in his region, while not advertising charitable contributions.
"On the one hand, Vasyl makes amazing statements, on the other hand, I hear from his entourage that he will donate millions to the Armed Forces without advertising it," Kovalchuk noted. According to him, Lomachenko became more reserved and even got rid of the so-called "star disease".
Kovalchuk also emphasized that one should be cautious about rumors and not draw conclusions based on fragmentary statements in the media. "Vasyl is the pride of Ukraine as an athlete, and as a patriot and Ukrainian he will reveal himself over time," added the president of WBC Ukraine.
Lomachenko last stepped into the ring in May of this year, defeating George Kambosos in a title fight. Regarding the further career of the boxer, his manager stated that Lomachenko has not yet made a final decision.
