The head of the "servant of the people" faction in the Ukrainian Parliament, David Arahamia, announced the planned appointment of a new head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU). According to him, the candidate for this position is Vitaliy Koval, the current head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration (OVA).
Arahamia shared this news in his Telegram channel, noting that it is one of the personnel appointments of the week. Before that, Arahamia also announced the dismissal of one of the ministers, but did not disclose the name of the released.
The State Property Fund of Ukraine plays an important role in the management of state property in the country. Earlier, this position was held by Rustem Umerov, who is now the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. It was expected that Olga Peschanskaya, the former head of the Antimonopoly Committee, would be the chairman of the SPFMU, but was not considered her candidacy.
Vitaliy Koval has been leading the Rivne Ova since 2019. In 2020, his party "Servant of the People" nominated him as a candidate for the mayor of the city of Rivne, but the victory in the mayor was won by a candidate from the Party "Euro Solodarity" Alexander Tretyak. Subsequently, Tretyak was removed from the post of mayor of the city on charges of corruption.
