The European Union is preparing to add another 25 Chinese organizations to the sanction list for assisting Russia in the bypass of restrictions. According to sources, familiar with the proposal, one citizen of China who will be banned from receiving visas and freezing assets will also be included in the sixteenth package of sanctions, introduced since the beginning of the war in 2022.
Prohibitions can affect companies registered in China and Hong Kong, which are accused of transferring European production to Russian buyers related to the military. In the event of sanctions, these organizations will lose access to the purchase of goods in EU countries.
At the same time, Brussels believes that these measures are not related to the drone factory in the Cinjan-Uygur Autonomous District, which was accused of supplying drones for Russia in November.
