The Kiev Metro fell into a new scandal, when the acting head of KP "Kyiv Metro", Viktor Vygovsky, was sent to a 24 -hour house arrest. The reason is serious violations that led to the flooding of important tunnels on the site between the stations "Demiyivska" and "Libidska".
The judge, who considered the case, granted the petition of the prosecutors of the Podilsky District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, choosing a precautionary measure for the Vygiv in the form of a 24 -hour house arrest. Now the chief engineer, who is currently performing the duties of the Chief of the Communist Party, is forbidden to communicate with witnesses and other suspects in the case, and it is forbidden to leave abroad - the passport has been stored.
Viktor Vygovsky is suspected of carelessness, which led to the depressurization of the tunnel and the formation of cracks in the walls, which in turn was the cause of flooding. According to information, the violation was due to improper performance of official duties. This gave a serious blow to the safety of passengers and infrastructure of the Kiev subway.
In parallel with Vygovsky, the case of another suspect - the head of the track service, tunnel structures and buildings of KP "Kyiv Metro" is considered. His preventive measure will be selected today at 2:30 pm Kyiv time.
