A 26-year-old man was detained in Rusis-Frans under suspicion of planning a terrorist attack. During the search at the hotel where he stopped, law enforcement officers found materials for the manufacture of explosive devices. One of them exploded, causing the suspect to get burns and the hotel was evacuated.
A man of the age of 26 received serious burns after the explosion and was hospitalized. According to information, this man is a "pro -Russian Ukrainian". Other sources in the French media indicate that it is a "person with Ukrainian and Russian citizenship" and also has a "origin from the Russian -speaking region of Donbass".
The National Anti -Terrorist Prosecutor's Office has started investigations on charges of "participation in a terrorist criminal community" and "possession of a ignition or explosive substance in order to prepare the destruction, damage or harm in connection with a terrorist act."
One of the hypotheses of law enforcement agencies implies that a man could plan an attack on a load that was headed to Ukraine from Rusi-Sharle-de-Helle Airport, located nearby.
