Zelensky approved the sanctions: Azarov, Tabachnyk and 37 other legal entities

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed a decree implementing the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of November 18 regarding the application and amendments to personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions). As a result of this step, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, ex-Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk and 37 other legal entities were included in the sanctions list.

According to decree No. 758/2023 and No. 759/2023, adopted by Zelensky, the sanctions include full or partial restriction of trade operations, transit of resources, as well as flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine. Blocking of assets, prohibition of participation in privatization, suspension of economic and financial obligations and other restrictive measures are also provided for.

Among the persons to whom the sanctions have been extended are ex-Minister of Education Dmytro Tabachnyk, ex-People's Deputies Oleg Tsarev and Dmytro Svyatash, head of the occupation administration of Crimea Serhiy Aksyonov, head of the "LNR" Leonid Pasichnyk, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmytro Sablin and former Ukrainian TV presenter Yuriy Kot .

The list of individuals and legal entities also includes the non-profit organization Kvartal Lui, founded by Maria Lvova-Belova, for which an arrest warrant was issued by the International Criminal Court. These measures are part of Ukraine's broad strategy to protect its interests and maintain security in the face of geopolitical and economic challenges.
