Zelenskyi said that Ukraine does not consider security guarantees without the United States

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine needs serious and effective security guarantees, but emphasized that these guarantees cannot be implemented without the participation of the United States.

Zelenskyi said that the possibility of deploying an international contingent to ensure Ukraine's security is being discussed, in particular with the countries of France, Poland, the Baltic States and Great Britain.

"Currently, it is too early to disclose the details of this initiative, but a dialogue is being conducted with those countries that are ready and able to take part in ensuring the security of Ukraine," the president said.

He also noted that it is not necessary to discuss the size of the contingent at the moment, as it will depend on the form of security guarantees that Ukraine will receive. According to Zelenskyi, an important condition for any security guarantees is the participation of the US, and until then detailed negotiations with the new US administration are still ahead.
