American gas tankers change course

American liquefied natural gas tankers (LNG) are changing routes and directed to European ports, causing an increase in interest in the European market because of record high gas prices. About it reports Financial Times .

According to the publication, at least seven tankers who previously headed to Africa, Asia and Colombia have changed the course in Europe. The decision of traders to direct goods to the European market is explained by the greater benefit that European prices are offered against the background of energy crisis.

The Alex Froli Market Analyst to the LNG market noted that some ships "made some rather sharp reversals."
"It is unusual to see so many changes in the course and such obvious turns," Froli emphasized, commenting on the situation.

This trend indicates the adaptation of traders to market changes and to maximize profits by reorienting deliveries.

Gas prices in Europe continue to grow rapidly, pushing gas suppliers to change their plans and provide demand in the European market. This development creates additional incentives for reorientation of LNG tankers.

Europe continues to remain a key consumer of energy resources, and traders use this opportunity to generate additional profits. Whether this trend will remain further depends on the market situation and price stability.
