Australia has announced an increase in financial support for Ukraine under the Kudu Operation package worth $ 123.9 million. The Agreement also provides for additional military to the mission headed by the United Kingdom and which is engaged in training Ukrainian soldiers.
Since the beginning of January 2023, Australian soldiers have participated in the preparation of more than 1,200 Ukrainian military within the program coordinated by the United Kingdom under the name "Interflex Operation". It is planned to send additional military training professionals next year.
Australian Defense Minister Richard Marls stated that this mission is "cementing international solidarity for Ukraine". Australia, not going to NATO, actively support Ukraine, providing important military assistance and imposing sanctions against Russian officials.
In addition, the country is under pressure to restore the work of its embassy in Kyiv, coordinating its actions with many other countries that have returned their diplomats to Ukraine.
