The British military uses dogs to deliver ammunition in the event of a conflict with Russia

The elite military units of Great Britain used new tactics during exercises in the polar spaces of the northern part of Norway. They used dogs to supply ammunition and food. The initiative was introduced after defense commissioner Marc Francois admitted that in the event of a conflict with Russia, stocks of ammunition and armored vehicles could be exhausted in less than two months.

Experts from the logistics regiment adapt dogs to perform risky missions in enemy territory, where human access is difficult. The group, known as the “Whiskey Squadron”, consists of experienced engineers, logisticians, drivers and security soldiers who use various methods to infiltrate target locations under the cover of darkness.

During the training, the dogs trained in the Arctic wilderness together with the Norwegian organization Riverland Husky. They studied the distance they can cover with the spawn, their speed and endurance on snowy terrain.
